British people decorate their homes with paper decorations, a crib and a Christmas tree.
On Christmas Eve children hang their stockings on the fireplace and leave a glass of sherry for Father Christmas and a carrot for Rudolph the red nosed reindeer.
On the morning of Christmas Day, children's stockings are full of presents. Many people go to church to sing carols and to celebrate the birth of Jesus.
The whole family have a large lunch.
